Gain the knowledge, skills and attitude to safely carry a firearm for self-defense, exceeding the requirement for a Mississippi Enhanced Concealed Carry Permit. Eight hours of classroom instruction and one-hour of live fire.

Additionally, you will learn rules for safe gun handling; developing a personal and home protection plan; home security; firearms basics such as pistol parts and operation, ammunition, firearms cleaning & storage and defensive firearms selection; shooting fundamentals, grip stance, and trigger control; legal use of force, use of force continuum, four pillars of deadly force, Mississippi Law; physiological & psychological reactions to violent encounters & their aftermath; firearms gear & accessories; and continued opportunities for skill development.

During the MS Law and Legal Use of Force blocks you will not only learn the laws governing concealed carry but look at how those laws were applied in court cases and jury instructions to help you better understand when you may use lethal force in self-defense. Countering the Mass Shooter Threat by USCCA

In this class, you’ll review an analysis of data gathered from 48 mass shootings that have occurred since Columbine, to determine what can be learned from these tragedies and if magazine reductions or banning certain guns would have changed the outcome. You’ll also learn about “gun-free” zones, victim response, and whether “universal background checks” or other proposals by gun control advocates stand a chance of stemming the current trajectory of these shootings. This course summarized this data with a comprehensive plan designed to eliminate the scourge of these shooters once and for all.
